Please Help Us Promoting The Seminary For Vocations

Every Christian is a Vocation Promoter

Parents, family and friends have a crucial role to play in fostering vocations to the ministry. You serve as Christian by your examples, prayers and sacrifices, teach the faith and serve as a witness of fidelity in Christ.

  1. Pray for the clergy.

  2. Teach our youth to pray, they need to hear God calling them into the discipleship of the Church.

  3. Preach the Vocations

For those who are considering a vocation:

  • Practice the Faith.

  • Meditate.

  • Be a good disciple.

  • Ask God.

HBASC, Inter-Denominational Christian School “Footsteps Of Jesus Seminary & Bible Academy”, founded by the Abp. Eric Gagnon,  (Independent United Methodist) in 2015.

You can earn an Associate, Bachelor, Master, M.Div., D.Min., Th.D. or Ph.D. degree. All of your courses are to be completed at home.

The first step is to fill out this simple form

We consider as Tenets of Faith

  1. The Bible itself is the only infallible rule of faith and practice

  2. We believe that the Holy Scriptures consist of two parts, namely, the Old and the New Testament, which are canonical, against which nothing can be alleged

  3. All these books are holy and canonical, for the regulation, foundation, and confirmation of our faith.

Quinque viae:

The Quinque viæ (Latin, usually translated as “Five Ways” or “Five Proofs”) are five logical arguments regarding the existence of God summarized by the 13th-century Catholic philosopher and theologian Thomas Aquinas in his book Summa Theologica. They are:

  1. the unmoved mover; The argument of the unmoved mover, or ex motu, argues that God must be the first cause of motion in the universe. It is, therefore, a form of the cosmological argument. It employs Aristotle’s dichotomy of potentiality and actuality, and thus the type of motion offered here is not physical motion, but rather an abstraction of change in general. It goes thus:

  • Some things are in motion.

  • A thing cannot, in the same respect and in the same way, move by itself: it requires a mover.

  • An infinite regress of movers is impossible.

  • Therefore, there is an unmoved mover from whom all motion proceeds.

  • This mover, everyone calls God.

  1. the first cause; The argument of the first cause (ex-causa), tries, unlike the argument of the Unmoved Mover, to prove that God must have been the cause or the creator of the universe. It is, therefore, another form of the cosmological argument. It goes thus:

  • Some things are caused.

  • Everything that is caused is caused by something else.

  • An infinite regress of efficient (simultaneous) causation is impossible.

  • Therefore, there must be an uncaused cause of all that is caused.

  • This cause, everyone calls God.

  1. the argument from contingency; Another face of the cosmological argument, the argument from contingency:

  • Many things in the universe may either exist or not exist and are all finite. Such things are called contingent beings.

  • It is impossible for everything in the universe to be contingent, for then there would be a time when nothing existed, and so nothing would exist now since there would be nothing to bring anything into existence, which is clearly false.

  • Therefore, there must be a necessary being whose existence is not contingent on any other being or beings.

  • We call this being God.

  1. the argument from degree; The argument from degree or graduation. It is heavily based upon the teachings of the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle. It goes thus:

  • Varying perfections of varying degrees may be found throughout the universe.

  • These degrees assume the existence of an ultimate standard of perfection.

  • Therefore, perfection must have a pinnacle.

  • This pinnacle is what we call God.

  1. the teleological argument (“argument from design”) The teleological argument or argument from “design” (ex-fine), which claims that many things in the Universe possess final causes that must be directed by God:

  • All natural bodies in the world act towards ends.

  • These objects are in themselves unintelligent.

  • Acting towards an end is a characteristic of intelligence.

  • Therefore, there exists an intelligent being that guides all natural bodies towards their ends.

  • We call this being God.

  • Alternative interpretation: The teleological argument or argument of “design” (ex-fine), which claims that everything in the Universe follows laws, which must have been created by God :

  • All natural bodies follow laws of conduct.

  • These objects are themselves unintelligent.

  • Laws of conduct are characteristic of intelligence.

  • Therefore, there exists an intelligent being that created the laws for all natural bodies.

  • We call this being God.

Thomas Aquinas 5 proofs of God’s existence

  1. The Proof from Motion. We observe motion all around us. Whatever is in motion now was at rest until moved by something else, and that by something else, and so on. But if there were an infinite series of movers, all waiting to be moved by something else, then actual motion could never have got started, and there would be no motion now. But there is motion now. So there must be a First Mover which is itself unmoved. First Mover we call God.

  2. The Proof from Efficient Cause. Everything in the world has its efficient cause, its maker, and that maker has its maker, and so on. The coffee table was made by the carpenter, the carpenter by his or her parents, and on and on. But if there were just an infinite series of such makers, the series could never have got started, and therefore be nothing now. But there is something everything there is! So there must have been a First Maker, that was not itself made, and that First Maker we call God.

  3. The Proof from Necessary vs. Possible Being. Possible, or contingent, beings are those, such as cars and trees and you and I, whose existence is not necessary. For all such beings there is a time before they come to be when they are not yet, and time after they cease to be when they are no more. If everything were merely possible, there would have been a time, long ago, when nothing had yet come to be. Nothing comes from nothing, so in that case, there would be nothing now! But there is something now-the world and everything in it so there must be at least one necessary being. This Necessary Being we call God.

  4. The Proof from Degrees of Perfection. We all evaluate things and people in terms of their being more or less perfectly true, good, noble and so on. We have certain standards of how things and people should be. But we would have no such standards unless there were some being that is perfect in every way, something that is the truest, noblest, and best. That Most Perfect Being we call God.

  5. The Proof from Design. As we look at the world around us, and ourselves, we see ample evidence of design–the bird’s wing, designed for the purpose of flight; the human ear, designed for the purpose of hearing; the natural environment, designed to support life; and on and on. If there is design, there must be a designer. That Designer we call God

FOJSBA‘s online campus.

Since the primary purpose of FOJSBA is to train men and women for IAoC and to provide a flexible theological program that does not require the student to leave his job in order to complete studies.

FOJSBA is committed to maintain high academic standards and to provide the student with a quality theological education equal to or higher than that offered by accredited institutions.

FOJSBA is a sub-ministry of Research, Theology and Teaching Ministry of HBSC that focuses on theological education in and outside Canada. Through FOJSBA, we seek to provide biblical training for ministers and aspirants who have neither the time nor the money to pursue an extended, formal theological education.

We, at Footsteps Of Jesus, offers programs which are highly flexible and are geared to empowering students in their future ministry.

  • Our courses are available to everyone who meets our requirements.

  • All courses require comprehensive study and self-discipline.

  • We are an online institution offering distance learning to Christian students around the world.

  • Our courses are relevant to the 21st Century and are an effective aid to the spiritual development of all believers.

  • Our mission is to raise Spirit-anointed leaders. Our programs have the highest curriculum standards within the framework of Spirit-anointed Biblical authority.

  • We prepare Christian leaders for Christian service.

  • All degrees at FOJSBA are earned degrees. This is achieved by mandatory coursework that must be completed.

Distance learning offers students flexibility and helps them manage their time. The student uses our virtual course tool to access class notes, communicate with the professor or other students, and contribute to discussions set up by the professor in one of our sites (class, Forum or others. A student can learn according to their own schedule. The student can also learn by watching a video, this approach complements the virtual campus.

Our aim is to help our students in the following ways:

  1. Developing a strong relationship with God

  2. Provide an in-depth understanding of the Bible

  3. Prepare them for ministry, leadership.

  4. Provide a clear understanding of the Bible.

  5. We use the best training methods

Our courses meet the requirements established by many private, independent, and professional associations. Credits earned at FOJSBA can be transferred to another institution at their discretion.

All degrees at FOJSBA are earned degrees. This is achieved by mandatory coursework that must be completed. We recognize life experience which may have been gained through years of work which is ministry related. Many people have served in ministry positions and have gained a lot of knowledge and experience in their fields, but do not have any formal certificate, diploma, or degree. Life experience credits can give some of the recognition needed for servicing at the Interdenominational Assembly of Churches in work at the fellowship or the Chaplaincy. No diplomas or degrees can be awarded based upon life experience.

The Research, Theology and Teaching Ministry

Footsteps of Jesus Seminary and Bible Academy”

Research, Theology and Teaching Ministry of

IAoC founded in 2015 our Seminary” Footsteps of Jesus” is for our future ministers in the Christian Faith specializing in fully accredited graduate programs in Theology. It is an online study program or small classes programs, it attracts students from around the world who want to be serving as a minister in our IAoC family of Chaplains or New Hope Ministry and Missions. If you have a desire to learn about the traditions we invite you to join us.
We offer courses of education leading to ordination as a Christian Minister.

We are a legally established religious organization with the right to ordain ministers and thus qualify them as ordained ministers: to officiate at weddings, baptisms, funerals, Holy Communion, and Worship Ceremonies. Men and women who complete the course and meet all the requirements, upon their request, will be ordained in the context of worship with hand imposition in front of witnesses.

Degrees or other qualifications from unaccredited institutions may not be accepted by civil service or other employers. Some unaccredited institutions have formal legal authorization to enroll students or issue degrees, but in some jurisdictions, legal authorization to operate is not the same as educational accreditation.

Footsteps of Jesus Seminary is a distance learning, an accredited theological school operated by the Interdenominational Assembly of Churches. Students are prepared for ministerial positions and other related careers in Christian Theology.
IAoC which operates the Seminary FOJBA is a non-profit organization.

All our courses are

Implementing Team Impact Christian University Curriculum”

and accredited by Theological Accreditation International (TAI) or by the World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions. Both are non-governmental accreditation, extended exclusively to private, Christian institutions upon inspection and approval of their programs, operations, and integrity. WWAC is a worldwide accreditation that honours the separation of church and state and extends beyond national boundaries. Its standards and expectations measure compliance with Scriptural principles as applied to education. In some country accreditation of universities and seminaries is a voluntary process with accreditation granted by private, non-governmental agencies. Governmental agencies do not provide theological or ministry accreditation.

Government-recognized accreditation is not necessary for the religious vocations in which we are equipping our students and people working in ministry positions do not need a government-accredited degree. We prepare our students for work in our ministries as a minister or lay services at Interdenominational Assembly of Churches. We will seek to provide a sound theological standing from which our students fulfill their divine calling. Our courses meet the requirements established by many private, independent, and professional associations. Various regionally or nationally accredited Christian Universities, colleges and seminaries may accept credits and degrees from Footsteps of Jesus Seminary.

Our programs are created for ordination course that can suit the needs of anyone who wishes to study Christianity and prepare for a variety of professional ministries. It provides extensive knowledge in the areas of Christianity theology and history, as well as some training in ministerial ethics, pastoral care and discipleship. Serving as a professional chaplain will require additional courses in Clinical Pastoral Education.

Our Headquarter is located in Ottawa, Ontario Canada and to this effect:

The Superintendent of Private Career Colleges, under the authority of the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 registers institutions that provide instruction in the skills and knowledge required in order to get a job in a particular vocation. Before these programs can be delivered, an institution must be registered with, and its programs approved by, the Superintendent.

Under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 means that an institution is not required to be registered with the Superintendent of Private Career Colleges and/or a program offered by an institution does not require approval before being offered to the public. Institutions that are exempt from registration under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 are permitted to deliver the programs, but students at such institutions should be aware that they are not entitled to rights under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Religious Vocational Training

Programs which provide training for work in a religious vocation do not require approval under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 e.g., programs which provide the skills and knowledge to practice as a pastor do not require approval. This exemption applies whether or not the program is being provided by a religious organization.

Be part of our bible studies, not only the articles of faith but it’s origin, who wrote it and why…

The Bible from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía, “the books” is a collection of texts sacred in Judaism and Christianity. There is no single “Bible” and many Bibles with varying contents exist. Various religious traditions have produced different recensions with different selections of texts. These do largely overlap, however, creating an important common core.

With estimated total sales of over 5 billion copies, the Bible is widely considered to be the best selling book of all time, has estimated annual sales of 100 million copies, and has been a major influence on literature and history, especially in the West where it was the first mass-printed book. The Gutenberg Bible was the first Bible printed using movable type.

  1. View from other religions, scientists, or even atheist point of view…
  2. Not limited to the book itself, but all the historic, archeology and people surrounding the Bible

We encourage you to have an open mind and be part of the discussion in our Yahoo Group with your group host the Abp. Eric Gagnon ThD DDiv DPhil.

  • The Golden Rule
  • Our First New Computer Base Teaching “Christianity The Faith At Large”
  1. The CBT provided by Research, Theology and Teaching Ministry (RTT) aims the student at the understanding of the teachings and perhaps the hope of feeling closer to God. The life and teachings of Jesus The Nazarene represent valuable life lessons.
  1. This CBT Christianity: The Faith At Large looks at Jesus from a Historical perspective and from Abp. Eric Gagnon commentary. Christianity did not arise as a single, uniform and coherent movement, but as one marked by a diversity of opinion, practice, and belief. In the beginning, it was forged by conflict as the early Christians wrestled with Judaism, collided with paganism, challenged the authority of the Roman Empire, and struggled with each other. We wish that you will understand Jesus and the meaning of his message of Love.

Lesson # 1: The basic reason why we believe in God.

Lesson # 2: A look at how the Bible was written and how it came to us.

Lesson # 3: This lesson will focus in on the central figure in Christianity, Jesus

Lesson # 4: Salvation, sins and hell

Lesson # 5: What Jesus says about the church

Lesson # 6: The final lesson is the style and purpose of Christian life.

  • Guideline 1 – Preparing yourself for the exam.

Congratulations on your decision to enter this program of study. The decision you made will consolidate your understanding of God’s word and will prove to be an important step in confirming your divine purpose and calling in your life.

The purpose of our Christian University is to prepare the people of God to fulfil His divine purpose in their lives and change nations.

To edify the body of Christ, to equip God’s people for the work of the ministry, to unite in faith, to grow in quality, quantity, stability and integrity so the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” ( Ephesians 4:11-16) Some important points to consider as you begin this wonderful journey of learning more about the Bible, God’s gift to us. As you prepare for each exam and adhere to the following criteria you can expect to successfully complete the 10 Modules of the Certificate or Diploma Program within 12 Months.

Please remember the Exams are not designed to test memory but rather understanding of the prescribed Module material. Hence the reason the exams are prepared in an open-book exam format.

  • Allocate at least one hour per day to your study material. Most of us are generally lax and need to discipline ourselves when studying. How much time do we waste sitting in front of the TV? Set aside time every day towards your study material in a disciplined way. Remember……..’ Procrastination is the thief of time.’

  • Set a study goal for yourself i.e. ‘I’m going to cover 25 pages per week for this module.’ Remember 25 pages per week is merely 3 pages of study per day. How easy is that to follow and complete. Tell yourself…..’No Excuses!’

  • Consistency and discipline with your study is the Key to completing your study work.

  • There are about 100 pages of study with each Module. A student who covers 25 pages of study per week will be able to complete each MODULE within One month.

  • Spending an hour per day is sufficient to cover 25 pages per Module and for the student to understand the work prepared in the study material.

  • The goal of the students should be to complete One Module Exam within the month. By completing one per month, the student will qualify for the Certificate in Ministry within 12 months.
