Where we stand in the scale of Christianity

The AIoC is mainly very conservative especially in our Pentecostal members but the average membership brings the association a little toward the left between the Catholic and  Wesleyan. EMMI and NHM&M are more on the left side due to the teaching of the Universal Christ.

We as Christians are of the Abrahamic religions under the one God of Abraham.

The Abrahamic religions also referred to collectively as Abrahamism, are a group of Semitic-originated religious communities of faith that claim descent from the Judaism of the ancient Israelites and the worship of the God of Abraham. The Abrahamic religions are monotheistic, with the term deriving from the patriarch Abraham (a major biblical figure from The Old Testament, which is recognized by Jews, Christians, Muslims, and others). Abrahamic religion spread globally through Christianity being adopted by the Roman Empire in the 4th century and Islam by the Islamic Empires from the 7th century.

Today we see united faiths to make a new one as seen in the “Chrislam” who is a neologism used to refer to syncretism between Christianity and Islam. Or also Jews for Jesus is a non-profit Messianic Jewish organization that seeks to proselytize Jews towards the belief that Jesus is the promised Messiah of the Jewish people. Jews for Jesus is not considered a sect of Judaism by any mainstream Jewish authorities.

Condemned by Muslim and Jewish fundamentalists, but if you look closely at the One God it makes a lot of sense, the only hic for both is Jesus who is not God, an apocalyptic teacher in one and a prophet in the other.  Some Western Christians object to evangelizing Jews because they see Jewish religious practice as valid in and of itself. But keep in mind that Judaism and Christianity are two separate faith systems.

The 4th Ministry

The Chaplaincy is our 4th ministry and we serve people of other religions or philosophical traditions, such as the case of chaplains serving with military forces and in hospitals or universities, prisons and elsewhere.

It is the duty of a chaplain to be present for all people event atheists.

Also, we team up with, as a Circle call Harmony and we set up a MeetUp group in Ottawa.

The purpose of the United Religions Initiative is to promote enduring, daily interfaith cooperation, to end religiously motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings.
